Iona – Sailing to Columba’s Bay

A more detailed report in rhyme will follow later. In the meantime, enjoy these photos from our sail to Columba’s Bay yesterday with Mark Jardine. We need some travel intercession today. The ferry off the island is not running because the only captain certified to sail it came down with Covid. They are trying to find another certified captain, but it will not be until later today. So, Fr. Marty is sending the Pilgrims Six off on their own this morning, as they are shuttling pedestrian passengers without vehicles via small fishing and excursion boats across to Mull. Hopeful we will meet up again later today in Stirling, but Sherry has things under control for everyone to get from ferry to bus to ferry to coach to Stirling Hotel.

(I can feel a country western song coming on….

“I’m stuck here on Iona, all the luggage in my trunk…

they all left me this morning, I’m a solitary monk…)
